Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP)
What is the CWPP?
The Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP)
is a strategic plan, funded by Gilpin County. The plan
identifies specific wildfire hazards and risks facing our County and
neighborhoods. The plan includes specific mitigation
recommendations that are
designed to reduce wildfire hazards and risks for the County and for
each neighborhood.
The plan is currently a
draft plan and it will
affect every neighborhood in the County.
While the draft plan has been put together with state of the art
computer analysis, it still needs input from residents with
local knowledge of the
area.
Gilpin County needs
your help to ensure
that the
recommendations for
the County and your neighborhood are the best ones to reduce the fire hazards and risks in
your neighborhood!
